The Old Kennels
LISTED BUILDING REFURBISHMENT
Works have been successfully completed on site for the refurbishment of this Grade II Listed property for a private client in Oxfordshire.
The proposals involved the demolition of an old lean-to shed to the rear of the property which enabled the original barn openings to be opened up and fitted with Crittall Style glazing, flooding the internal space with daylight and giving access to the extensive gardens.
Internally the kitchen has been re-located into the middle barn, which was previously unused. The thermal elements of the refurbished parts of the building have been carefully upgraded with breathable systems in order to maintain the equilibrium of this 17th century building.
The property now benefits from a generous entrance hall, separate utility, open plan kitchen and dining room with double height aspect up to the open trusses and a mezzanine level.
